These 1-hour sessions will be held on Thursdays at 11am ET on January 11\, 18\, 25\, and February 1\, 2024. SUMMARY:ELCA Study Curriculum on Civic Life and Faith
DESCRIPTION:Pastor Bill Utrecht and Pastor Ellen Schoepf will lead the ELCA Study Curriculum on Civic Life and Faith beginning on January 16\, 2024 at 11:00am ET. This six-week study will be held in-person at First Lutheran Church in Muskegon and on Zoom.  \nThe study curriculum was created by the ELCA’s Task Force on Civic Life and Faith as a step towards development of a social teaching statement. DESCRIPTION:Have you wondered if your congregational financial systems and policies were up to date and meeting the standards for excellence? The ELCA has free resources for helping congregations assess their financial wellness. \nSteve Oelschlager – Congregational Assessment Research Coordinator will do a one-hour introduction to this resource and how to use it\, exclusively for the North/West Lower Michigan Synod. \nThe Congregational Financial Assessment identifies 21 healthy financial practices from five key areas: Accounting\, Finance\, Human Resources\, Risk Management\, and Stewardship.
