SUMMARY:Zoom Meeting: Supporting Our Communities Amid SNAP Benefit Pauses
DESCRIPTION:The recent government shutdown has resulted in a potential pause in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits here in Michigan. This development will have a serious impact on many of our neighbors who rely on these resources to feed their families. \nTo help us respond faithfully and effectively\, the North/West Lower Michigan Synod will be hosting a Zoom meeting to discuss how we can support those affected and coordinate our efforts across congregations and ministries. \n📅 Date: Monday\, October 27\n🕒 Time: 3:00pm EST\n💻 Zoom Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88957670368?pwd=FuabmWFgtgsdDgrbFzpInrHiG82aaa.1 \nDuring this conversation\, we’ll share updates\, explore local partnerships\, and brainstorm practical ways we can care for our communities during this challenging time. Your insight and participation are deeply valued as we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ together. \nIn faith and service\, \n\nBishop Julie and Synod Staff\nNorth/West Lower Michigan Synod\, ELCA
