SUMMARY:Paul E. Trapp Endowment Grant
DESCRIPTION:Trapp Grant Applications are now available! If your congregation is in Northern Michigan\, you are invited to apply for a grant from the Paul E. Trapp estate. \nThe endowment was created from a bequest to support “people-orientated” ministry in the northern parts of the North/West Lower Michigan Synod. The Sunrise and Traverse conferences as well as the northern part (north of M-61) of the Bay Conference make up the service area for the Trapp Grant. \nEach year a committee reviews grant applications and uses fund distribution earnings to fulfill grant requests. Grant requests are typically funded for $1\,500 to $2\,000 depending on how many applications are received. \nThe Trapp Grant Committee approves various Northern Michigan ministry projects\, including but not limited to: \n\nVBS Camps\nFood/Paper Pantries\nCoats for Kids/Coat Closets\nCommunity Meals\nSupporting Families in Need\n\nGrant applications for the 2026 calendar year are due by DECEMBER 20th for committee review. Funds will be disbursed by the end of January 2026.
