On Saturday, September 13th our synod gathered in joyful celebration for the installation of Bishop Julie Schneider-Thomas. The service was filled with music, prayer and a spirit of hope as we look toward the future together. We were especially blessed to be joined by Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, who preached a beautiful and inspiring sermon.
We give thanks for all who participated in the service, for Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids for hosting, and the many clergy members and lay people who joined in worship both in person and online.
As we begin this new chapter of ministry under Bishop Julie’s leadership, we invite your continued prayers for our synod and for our congregations. We look forward to the bright and hopeful future ahead!
