On Friday, a tornado touched down in Gaylord, MI. There is significant damage and power outages on the west and north sides of the city. There have been two reported deaths and at least 45 injured. Peace Lutheran Church in Gaylord is unharmed and Pastor Megan Crouch is working with United Way to assist those in need.
The North/West Lower Michigan Synod has sent an initial grant from our Synod Disaster Relief Fund to Peace Lutheran Church to help those affected.
