Augsburg Fortress has recently released Hear My Voice: A Prison Prayer Book. Created for those in prisons and other correctional facilities, these written prayers, devotions, and visual art will accompany them in prayer, trusting in God’s abiding presence in all times and circumstances.
This much-needed prayer resource was authored by a number of writers with diverse connections to the criminal justice system, including writers who are currently incarcerated, formerly incarcerated, or working in prison ministry or re-entry.
Getting this book to those “on the inside” can be challenging; each correctional facility or center, jail or detention center, has different rules and policies on the use and distribution of printed materials. Please note the guidance for distribution.
