September 30 – National Day of Remembrance for Indian Boarding Schools

🧡 Every Child Matters

Today, we honor and remember the Indigenous children who were taken from their families and placed in Indian Boarding Schools across the U.S. and Canada. Many never returned home.

These schools were part of a system designed to erase Native cultures, languages, and identities. The impact continues to be deeply felt by Indigenous communities today.

🧡 We wear orange to remember.

🧡 We listen to the stories of survivors.

🧡 We stand in solidarity with Native communities.

Let us acknowledge the truth, honor the resilience of survivors, and commit to learning, healing, and justice.
