As more violence is threatened this weekend and we look towards next week, we pray for our country, for our state, and for our elected officials, including President Trump, Vice President Pence, President-Elect Biden, and Vice President-Elect Harris. We pray that they will be surrounded by wisdom and peace. We also pray for the City of Lansing, the home of our State Capitol, for Governor Whitmer and our State Legislature, and for the local and state police, the National Guard, and all those who protect us. We pray for an end to violence and for a peaceful transition in our nation’s Capitol.
