Autumn Years – A Time of Beauty and Harvest

Living with Clarity, Courage, Generosity and Compassion
October 22nd at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Lansing oNovember 5th at Grace Lutheran Church, Lansing

8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. both Saturdays

At one time retirement was experienced as a few years of rest and inevitable decline. Today most of us will be blessed with a decade or more of physical and mental vitality.  Might people of faith receive the blessing of these years as a time of fruitful service and dynamic spiritual growth?

Participants in the Autumn Years workshop will consider their own ways of living this chapter with faith, joy, gratitude and love. Our discussions will center in Scripture; research on healthy aging; resources for spiritual growth and opportunities to serve within ones own faith community and in society.

To register, for either workshop, mail a check payable to the host congregation for $20 ($30 for a couple):

Saturday October 22nd – Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 501 E Mt. Hope Ave., Lansing, MI 48910

Saturday, November 5th – Grace Lutheran Church, 528 N Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Lansing, MI 48915

We are asking for prepayment because the workshops are limited to 30 participants. Please include with your registration your name, phone number, e-mail and congregation. You will be notified of what to bring and some questions for reflection by e-mail or phone.

Questions may be addressed to Pr. John Burow at pastorjburow@yahoo.com.
