Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is a program of professional education for ministry designed for clergy, faith group leaders, pastors, seminary/theological students, prospective chaplains, and committed lay people to develop their competence and effectiveness in providing pastoral/spiritual care. It also provides an opportunity to clarify and enhance one’s personal and pastoral identity.

Three training modalities:

  • Resident Program, four CPE units, M.Div. or equivalent degree required, $37,000/year plus benefits & no tuition fee, no previous CPE required
  • Extended Program, January thru May, $650 tuition, convenient evening class, 16 hours of clinical ministry in the hospital
  • Intern Program Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, 12-weeks, 40 hrs./wk., non-stipend, $650 tuition fee
