Institute of Liturgical Studies Seminar Series

In lieu of the annual spring conference and due to COVID-19, Valparaiso University’s Institute of Liturgical Studies will be offering a series of virtual seminars in February, March and April with an optional worship service following each event.

The first seminar in the series will be held February 4, 2021 at 8pm ET.

Holy God, Wholly Human: Language In Preaching and Worship

This guided conversation with The Rev. Dr. Luke A. Powery will consider liturgical and homiletical language for God and humanity, including issues surrounding gender, race, suffering, hope, death and resurrection. During the conversation, participants will be able to submit questions to Dr. Powery via a moderator.
