Lay Ministry Training Program Retreat
October 23, 2015 - October 24, 2015
Apocalypticism
The Greek word apocalyptic means “to unveil or uncover.” Apocalyptic literature seeks to uncover the hidden meaning of present events as well as the course and significance of human events. An apocalypse is an entire document written in this style. (Witnesses to the Word, ©1991 Augsburg Fortress.) This retreat explores the writing of the prophet Daniel and the visions of John as recorded in Revelation under the instruction of Professor Wally Taylor from Trinity Lutheran Seminary.
Grief Ministry
Grief captures each and every one of us at some point. It is painful, exhausting work, but with faith in God and help from others, we grow and eventually thrive. Learn from Retired Pastor David Blake about ways you might minister to those working through the process of grief.
