Lutherans Always Reforming: A Day of Social Change Conversation

The Publicly Engaged Church Committee of the North/West Lower Michigan Synod will be hosting a day-long educational event on Saturday, June 17, at University Lutheran Church in East Lansing.

This event, billed as Lutherans Always Reforming: A Day of Social Change Conversation, will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude with Closing Worship at 3:00 PM.  Keynote speaker for the day will be Dr. Craig L. Nessan, Academic Dean and Professor of Contextual Theology at Wartburg Seminary (Please see attached informational flyer).  A variety of workshops will also be offered throughout the day focusing on topics the PEC Committee is addressing.

Criminal Justice
Advocacy
Open Hearts. Open Church (Synod Task Force on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity)
Environmental Concerns/Climate Change
Hunger Issues
Human Trafficking
Faith, Sexism, Justice: Conversations Toward a Social Statement
Anti-Racism
