Holy Week. It is the oldest Christian observance — far older than the celebration of Christ’s birth. The Great Three Days (Triduum) of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter — these are God’s gift to us.
As we worship, we are drawn into the renewal of God’s Spirit within us. We are bathed in Jesus’ mercy, fed by his own body and blood, shaken to the core as we witness his death, and brought to our highest joy by his resurrection. Death is all around us, but God is stronger still.
