Rejoice Worship Music Director
Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids is looking to hire a Rejoice Worship Music Director. The Rejoice Worship Music Director will have practical musical skills combined with a theological understanding of leading worship though music with the purpose of empowering the voice of the congregation as led by the Rejoice Worship Band.
Trinity Lutheran Church is a vital, warm congregation of 1,500 members and is located on the east side of Grand Rapids. Each Sunday morning, Trinity has three worship services, with the middle service being held in the Centennial Hall. This service incorporates music led by a variety of instruments that are band-focused and is casual in style while still following the ELCA worship identity. The other two services are liturgical and held in the vibrant acoustical space of the church with music leadership by piano, pipe organ, vocal choir, bell choir, cantors, and a variety of instruments.

Director of Youth and Family Ministry
Part time position of 20-25 hours per week. Committed Christian to lead Christian learning and fellowship activities for youth and families with children ages newborn through grade 12. The director would organize and facilitate family and youth programs, functions, retreats, camps, and out of town events. Activities include service projects, ELCA National Youth Gatherings, and Mission trips. Manage volunteers to their fullest potential and abilities.
Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 years’ experience leading, interacting, and facilitating small group, family and/or youth discussions and activities (such as camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, or grade K-12 educator); strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent planning and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines; must have valid driver’s license.
